- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp pickle juice (optional)

- 4 burger buns (preferably brioche)
- 2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)

- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, paprika, and pickle juice.
- Set aside.
