Honey Garlic Shrimp Stir-Fry Recipe


 

This sweet and savory honey garlic shrimp stir-fry is a quick and easy dinner option that’s packed with flavor. Tender shrimp and colorful veggies are cooked together in a delicious honey garlic sauce!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the Veggies: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper, snap peas, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp. Remove the veggies from the pan and set aside.

  3. Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and cooked through.

  4. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

  5. Combine & Serve: Add the veggies back into the pan and toss everything together. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

Make-Ahead & Storage Instructions:

  • This stir-fry can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat.
