Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (for extra flavor)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 2 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)

  • Ketchup, mustard, or mayo

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
    • Gently mix until combined, but don’t overwork the meat.
    • Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties, slightly larger than the buns (they will shrink while cooking).
